Icelandic Horse Connection, Evaluations and the Icelandic Horse

The Icelandic Horse Evaluations will be November 4 and 5, 2000. This will be an OFFICIAL Evaluation (FEIF rules) with 2 breeding Judges from Iceland.

The evaluation is scheduled to take place at Fairmeadow Race Track in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This is a wonderful facility with stabling and a new hotel* within walking distance of the stables and track. Stabling is $10 per night and there is also RV/Camping available.

It is currently planned to have a clinic before the actual evaluation so that everyone is aware of what the judges will be looking at and for. (Rules may also be reviewed at the www.feif.org home page.)

The clinic is scheduled for November 4. The Evaluations will take place on Sunday, November 5, 2000.

The facility will also be available one week before so that you may practice using the track should you desire. Currently Evaluations will be open to Mares, Stallions and Geldings over the age of 5yrs. Those wishing to only evaluate horses on the conformation will also be welcome to participate but we encourage all participants to prepare all adult horse so that scores in Riding and Conformations may be given. Young horses may also have an unofficial evaluation should owners decide to do so. All adult scores will be official so they are eligable for World Fengur/Breeding books publications.
